Special Topics
Every month you have an opportunity to meet with your group and coach for a special topic talk. Below are a list of some of the topics covered. If one interests you, feel free to let your coach know. You can also inform your coach if there is another topic not listed that you'd like to learn about.
Blood Sugar Stabilization
What's the deal with intermittent fasting? Is it better to eat small meals frequently? In this talk we'll dive into how eating certain foods at certain time-of-day and in a certain order (wow!) affect your blood sugar levels and why it's important to know. You'll get some tips on how to keep your blood sugar stable when on vacations and over the holidays so you can still enjoy yourself!
Mindfulness & Meditation
We've all heard it--meditation helps like everything, right? Let's explore why that is! We'll also talk about different types of meditation practices and ways to work it into your routine so that it's something you actually look forward to instead of something you think you should do.
Environmental...Additives
Fear-mongering does not live here. We do have to address all the stuff in the environment that we are now exposed to including BPA, PFAS, sulfates, pesticides, synthetic hormones, and others. We'll talk about which foods you should consider buying organic and why, and I'll show you scanning apps and websites that take the guesswork out of which products are safest for you. I promise I don't approach this is a rigid, fear-mongering type of way.
The Mindbody Connection
The mind and body were not always considered separate in Western culture, and in many cultures the two are still not separated. To understand how our emotions have physiological impact on our bodies is of utmost importance. How you think affects how you feel and how you feel affects your body on the cellular level. I'll show you scientific evidence to support this and help motivate you to do the self-awareness work to take your power back. Remember, you are not your thoughts. You are the one who observes the thoughts.
General Wellness
We have a variety of talks focused on how the following affect your wellness and ways to improve these areas: nutrition, types of exercise, sleep, hydration, socializing, and hobbies and creativity.
